The 53rd Zambia International Trade Fair will take place from 28th June to 4th July 2017. Trade days at the fair will be conducted from 28th June to 30th June, 2017. Please take note of the following dates KEY DATES:

28th June – Trade Fair begins
28th June- Networking/Ministers Welcome Reception
28th June- 30th June, 2017-Three exclusive Business Days
29th June-Judging of Exhibits
30th June-Business Seminars/Directors Luncheon-(Networking)
1st July-ZITF- Official opening
2nd and 3rd  July –Buyers and sellers meet
4th July-Trade Fair ends.

Registration Information

The management of the Zambia International Trade Fair is responsible for the registration of exhibitors who intend to exhibit in the various categories. Exhibitors are provided with various services depending on their categories of exhibit.

Application forms can be obtained from our offices in Ndola. They can also be downloaded from here.

A non-refundable Application Fee of K30.00 (or K50.00 for Stand-Alone Stands) per form is applicable on submission.  All submitted application forms should have corresponding receipt numbers as proof of payment of the application fee for them to be considered.

Zambia International Trade fair has modular stands, designed for specific layout of exhibits, and in this case the halls are partitioned using white vinyl shell schemes which are 9square meters. Each hall has the standard measurements and the number of cubicles, and these are as follows:

Stand Rates

The amount for full packed in Zambian Kwacha for 9 square metres shell scheme is K15,000.00 vat inclusive. The full package consists of the following

  1. 9 square meter floor area

  2. Modular stand constructed using white panels of 2.5m high

  3. Floor carpet

  4. 1 black fascia with name in white vinyl

  5. Two (2) 150w spotlights

  6. One (1) 15amps power socket

Exporters Hall suitable for Traders and SMEs K3,000.00.
NB: Stand alone will range from K13,000.00 to K50,000.00 +vat inclusive and basic open space rental is K600.00 and above +Vat per square meter

Availability of Stands

Stands are available on first come first serve basis, but the first priority is given to customer retention upon confirmation of coming back to exhibit, there after the stand will be given to the pending clients.

How to Book Stands

Bookings/allocations of the stands are done by the ZITF management at the show grounds. Exhibitors have to apply for the space that they intend to exhibit on, upon confirming the availability of the stand. It is then given to the client; applications can be obtained from our offices upon paying a non refundable fee of K50.00 for Stand-Alone Stands or K30.00 for other stands. It can as well be downloaded from our website and payable upon presenting it to our offices.

Display of Products

Exhibitors are welcome to exhibit their products and services. 


All exhibits shall be displayed in the most effective and impressive manner. Various prizes are awarded each year for presentation, display and content of stands, for those exhibitors who participate in Competitions, details of which will be made available after confirmation of participation.

Secondhand Goods/Vending

Display of secondhand goods is not allowed. Vending in the streets of the Fair is not allowed except in designated places ONLY.

Removal of exhibits

Exhibits shall not be removed from stands till close of the exhibition. Where these have been sold, delivery shall only be done after the exhibition is over.

Manning of Stands

Stands are manned throughout the Fair opening hours. Competent and knowledgeable marketing executives are readily available at the stands to ensure success in business transactions.

Restricted Display

Material or publications which contravene the laws of the Republic of Zambia are not allowed on the Fair premises. Exhibitors and visitors and their staff are expected to avoid any conduct or activities, which are conducive to disorder.

Failure to comply with these requirements will lead to the expulsion of the exhibitor/visitor, and further entry will not be allowed.

Services and Facilities

Fair Management will endeavor to provide or arrange for supply of the following services at charges as shall be determined during each Fair

Electricity and water supply, if above normal requirements Communications i.e. telecommunication facilities

Hired Staff – interpreters, translators, cleaners, security guards, etc.

Furniture, refrigerators, flower, carpets, etc.

Storage facilities

Secretarial services.

Hotels and Lodges

There are several hotels in Ndola, Kitwe and Luanshya.  They range from “Ungraded” to “Three Star”.  In most establishments the service offered is of international standards.  Reservations are made at least three months before the exhibition time.  The Management of the Fair can assist in securing accommodation, only if requests are made early.

Public and Private Transport

Several private car Hire Firms, taxi and private bus operators are based in Ndola.  Hotels and Fair Management will assist in securing these services, on request.

Parking of Vehicles

Suitable parking places for motor vehicles are available and there are instructions/stickers indicating the type of parking an exhibitor/visitor is entitled to.

No vehicles are allowed within the Fair Grounds from time of opening to closing.  Vehicles delivering replenishment stock must do so between 05.00 to 08.30 hours and 18.00 to 21.00 hours.

Official Catalogue

Every exhibitor is entitled to one complimentary official catalogue.  Extra copies may be obtained from the Management at a nominal charge.

ZITF reserves the sole right of issuing invitations and tickets of admission to all official functions.

Entry Badges and Tickets

Entry badges are classified into various categories.  These badges may be obtained from the management of the Fair.

Tickets will be sold to the public at the Gates throughout the Fair period.

Conference Centre

Conference facilities can be made available to enable the holding of the meetings, seminars, film shows etc.  Request for the use of these facilities should be communicated to the Management of the Fair at least 48 hours before the required time.


Catering services are available and these are located in various areas as indicated in the official catalogue.


Public toilet facilities are available throughout the Fair area.  Many stands have their own private facilities.  Health regulations require that these are properly used and kept clean.

Opening Hours

The Fair is open from 09.00 to 18.00 hours daily.

Government offices and business firms in Ndola are open from 08.00 to 17.00 hours – Monday to Friday, with lunch break between 13.00 and 14.00 hours.  All are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.


Banks in Ndola operate from 08.15 to 14.30 hours Monday to Friday and from 08.30 hours to 11.00 hours every first and last Saturday of the month.  All banks are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays, except for those operating in the Fair Grounds during the Fair. These banks are authorized to transact deposits, withdrawals and sales proceeds externalization.
